Philosophy

ISYC is committed to the development of the WHOLE child. We believe that education is about providing a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the creative, physical, cognitive, social and emotional development of the child through an integrated curriculum that recognizes the interrelationship of these developmental aspects.
We also believe in cooperative learning through the existence of a working partnership between the family and school.

ISYC Vision

ISYC strives to provide innovative, continually evolving early childhood programs, designed to create a life-long positive impact on children’s ability to seek knowledge and maximize their creative, social, emotional, physical and cognitive potential.

ISYC Mission

To create a learning environment where the child’s potential can be fully developed to facilitate:

• a love for learning
• the development of behavioral and cognitive habits that support effective learning
• a strong foundation for future academic achievement

Discipline Policy

ISYC considers discipline as an educational experience for the child. We believe that each child needs to develop the skills to manage their own behavior and become self-disciplined. The staff provides children consistency, choices with safe boundaries, skills and language to express needs, feeling and emotions in an acceptable behavior in a very safe, loving and positive environment. Staff will use positive methods of discipline to encourage self-control, self-direction, and cooperation. They will use redirection, logical consequences and talking with the child to help achieve the acceptable behavior. ISYC strongly discourages any kind of punitive physical punishment administered to any child.
